Their franchise fee is approx RM50k and they're based in S'pore. Renov will cost approx another RM50k. You need to pay RM15k(deduct from franchise fee if sucessful) upfront to sign letter of intent which is refundable if unsucessful. Go to their website and they'll make appointment with you. Go see them.

I did talk to the and it seems the only set back is the lack of feasible areas to open up. All the 'high traffic' shopping malls have been taken up. Are you one of the franchisee?

I'm not one of the franchisee. Seems that you already know a lot about Shihilin. Am not sure about this coz the last time I've spoken to them when you sign letter of intend, that does not guarantee you'll get the place that you want. It's first come first serve. Even if you can't get the place that you desire, they will offer to all the ppl in the waiting list whenever there is a place available for franchise. I only know that latest outlet will be at Pavilion.

something like that. they don't give priority to the preference of an individual. they're constantly looking for suitable place for franchisee and when there is one, they will offer to everbody from the list.

Joyjoy, they don't select a place for you. They will only offer to franchisees on waiting list once they have potential locations to offer. I have signed the letter of intend but yet to receive any information regarding locations. Looks like i will have to do some scouting for locations. Will give it 3 months (min. 3 months for refund of deposit). If either they or i am not able to secure a suitable location will withdraw my application.
