Legalisation Programme Duration Tentatively : 15th October 2015 - 15th November 2015
Targetted Workers Country of Origin : Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Phillipines, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Laos, China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzkehbistan
Workers Details : Those who are currently in Malaysia with expired passport / expired permit / currently working without legitimate employers / passport validity is less than 18 months / on social visa
Working Sectors Intended : Manufacturing, Construction, Services, Agriculture, Plantation, SPA/Reflexology
Services Sub-Sector : Barber, Storekeeper, Cleaning, Consultant, General Trading, Goldsmith, Hotel, Welfare Home, Laundry, Restaurants, Retail & Wholesale, Security Officers, Textile, Workshop
Application FlowChart
Step 1 -- Fill in application form with passport size photo (blue background) + copies of passport / any other identification
If currently employed - employer to submit rep IC & company form 9,24,49.
Foreign workers without legitimate employer shall be put under adopted employer programme whereby they are allowed to work under applied working sector all over Malaysia.
Step 2 -- Approved by authority, foreign workers to proceed with biometric thumbprint plus ID Data Card valid for 7 months
Foreign Workers shall be issued with letter from authority addressed to respective embassy for passport processing purpose.
Step 3 - Passport granted, foreign workers need to submit copy of passport for onward submission to authority.
Ste 4 - Fomema shall issued letter direct to foregin workers to proceed with medical check up.
Once medical check up is ok.. authority shall call foreign workers / employers directly to submit passport for verification plus permit collection.
Fee inclusive of :
a. Insurance Guarantee
b. Foreiign Worker Compensation Scheme
c. Foregin Worker Hospitalsaton scheme
d. FOMEMA
Fee varies to working sectors plus services sub-sector plus adopted employer.
