I've always wanting to know which department is it that governs the Licensing Business? Should there be any dispute between the Licensor & Licensee who can they go to?

MFA is just an association for those who are franchisor/franchisee or interested in franchise business to join in. For those who want to convert their conventional business to franchising, they need to apply with KPDNKK. Without the license from KPDNKK, we are not allowed to expand our business in franchise method.

there is a difference between licensing & franchising. You need to be certain on what you want to do

As I know, in malaysia franchise is bind by franchise act 1998, but no act for licensing business which I believed more risk than franchise. Thus, for any dispute, u may take an action based on the agreement by both parties or used common business law.
