Is this possible, and/or supported by MFA or any govt entities?
Is there any example of IT-centric companies going thru the franchise channel to distribute their product/service?
Who would I need to consult, if I have an IT-centric product that I would distribute thru a franchise system?

Dear En. Nasir, First and foremost, we would like to thank you for registering your interest in franchise business. For your information, in order for you to be the franchisor in IT business i.e. distributionship of IT products, you need to register your system with Registrar of Franchise (ROF). In Malaysia, we have Franchise Act 1998, which clearly stated that a franchisor shall register his franchise with the registrar (RoF) before he can make an offer to sell franchise to any person. Fails to comply commits an offence. The procedure of registration you can get it from website www.mecd.gov.my or call 03-8880 5600.
