Dilemma Company Website Strategi Pada Waktu Ini - Era IoT dan Industri 4.0
Azman Consultant - Sat 14/Oct/2017 9:36am [Last Comment]

1) Website Only
- Responsive web design.
- Tiada native apps.
- Solution yg paling murah.

2) Website + Native smartphone apps
- Responsive website for komputer/laptop & large tablet
- Native Apps for iOS (e.g. Objective-C or Swift)
- Native Apps for Android (e.g. Java or Kotlin)
- Native apps for all other platform (Win10 etc..)

Solution yg PALING MAHAL, tetapi mampu memberikan ''user experience'' yg TERBAIK. Dgn cara ini, setiap syarikat memerlukan team development yg berbeza utk setiap platform diatas. Kosnya amat tinggi sebab setiap platform smartphone memerlukan update SETIAP TAHUN.

3) Hybrid solution
- One Responsive Website only (Html5 + Css3 + Javascript)
- Then using ''Packaging Software'' to wrap the above website to become native apps
(e.g. Adobe PhoneGap or Apache Cordova)
- Packaged hybrid apps for iPhone iOS, Android and all other smartphones.

Solution pertengahan.

======================

    Progressive Web Apps:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_web_app

    - Championed by Google
    - Started in 2015
    - Using the same html5, css3, javascript, responsive design
    - With 'service worker' & 'json manifest' (will make it behave like native apps)
    - Very good support from chrome (desktop & android)

Regular websites, but appear to mobile user like native Android app, can be installed in Home Screen, with push notification & can work offline.

But in iOS, will be displayed like normal website. (apple is considering more support for this)

This is the Mobile User Experience that is different from computer browser. We should aim to achieve these:

    Reliable:
    - Fast loading
    - Can work offline / slow internet
    - Can sync with server in the background

    Fast:
    - Smooth animation
    - smooth scrolling
    - smooth navigation

    Engaging:
    - Push notification
    - Launch from mobile home screen

    Native Feature:
    - Can use camera for photo & video
    - Can use geolocation
