Accountant Job Description
Accountant is responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Accountant is also responsible to ensure that appropriate accounting control procedures are implemented.
Qualification
Accounting degree / Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.)
Job Duties
To perform the following task:-
- Prepare the ledger and reports to identify and trace error and make necessary corrections.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Work with the group CFO for any financial reporting tasks assigned by him.
-Ensure accurate and appropriate recording revenues and expenses.
- Ensure financial records are properly maintained
- Substantiates business transactions with relevant supporting documents
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
- Prepare accounting-related reports, summaries and reconciliation
- Review and advise on business operations regarding revenue and expenditure trends and financial commitments
- Maintains confidence by keeping financial information confidential
- Coordinate annual audit process audit process with external auditors.
- Trouble-shoot accounting problems
- Recommend, implement and monitor accounting procedure and controls
- Investigate, reconcile and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Ensure compliance legal requirements and advising management on necessary actions.
Key skills
- Deep knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
- Deadlines oriented and good time management
- Excellent written, verbal and reporting skills
- Excellent in MS Excel, has ERP system implementation experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret and clearly explain complex issues
- Problem solving skills
- Self-confidence
- Good memory and attention to details
