Bagi menyokong aktiviti muzik untuk generasi muda dan golongan 'kaki jamming' satu pertandingan bertajuk 'Malaysian Open Band Competition' akan diadakan seperti butiran berikut:-

Saringan pertama akan diadakan pada 13-14 April 2013
Saringan kedua pada 20-21 April 2013
Final pada 4-5 April 2013 dan masa saringan bermula jam 11 pagi di Kompleks Pusat Bandar, Pasir Gudang, JOHOR.

Terbuka kepada semua band-band di Malaysia untuk semua kategori muzik. Bayaran sebanyak RM150 untuk setiap band bagi menyertai pertandingan ini.

Diadili oleh juri-juri profesional yang terdiri daripada pemain muzik kumpulan dan artis terkenal tanahair
