Department Retail Operations - Asia

Reporting to Regional Manager Asia

Position Purpose To asses and establish learning needs based on the organisation?s strategic initiatives.
To deliver training programs to develop employee competencies in line with key business activity, key performance drivers and challenges for their people within designated state.

Major Responsibilities Measures (TBA)

Customer Advocate

? Consistent application of the internal communication standards (Branding) and mechanisms to improve and maintain open channels of communication between Stores and Support Group.
? Actively demonstrate constructive communication skills ? written, verbal and non-verbal
? Improve customer experiences in store through the identification of training and coaching needs.
Develop and Track Organisation Development Metrics
? In conjunction with Regional Manager, develop and track measures of success that monitor and measure Spotlight?s people initiatives.
? Provide timely training and financial reports, maintain attendance database and collation of participant evaluation data
? Manage costs below budget

? Conduct & administer in store training & induction as required.
? Analyse store training needs & recommend appropriate training programmes in consultation with Regional Manager.
? Influence & coach leadership teams to ensure effective succession planning is implemented and maintained.
? Responsible for systems to maximise Spotlight performance and development of employees by:
? Review current in store programs and techniques to recommend organisational development programs.
? Ensuring effective performance and development planning and measurement processes are in place to support associated training programmes.
? Work with Team Leaders, Store Managers and Regional Manager to develop and provide a training calendar for Store Retail Team Leaders to ensure knowledge and skills are adequate to perform in role.
? Monitor and evaluate the implementation of programs, and develop and maintain records of objectives, outcomes, employee feedback and other data reflecting current objectives.
Training Calender
? Liaising with internal trainers to ensure effective and timely delivery of all training and with all the required resources.
? Sourcing venues and required equipment, training materials and catering in line with budgetary requirements.

Training Material Maintenance
? Ensure latest version documents and programmes are being used
? Circulation of training material to Stores
Employee Relations
* Promotes the principles of fairness and equity, in line with ethical and legislative obligations, to ensure an environment free of discrimination that endorses an environment of respect and tolerance.
* Complies with all Company principles, procedures and directions relating to the management and development of team members.

? Other responsabilities as directed by Regional Manager or Operations Manager
? Work with Regional Manager to identify specific training requirements

Key Selection Criteria
Essential
? Sound understanding of adult learning principles as they relate to the workplace
? Proven retail training experience
? Fluent in Malay and English
? Be highly customer service focused and able to liaise effectively at all levels
? Demonstrated computer literacy
? Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with an eye for detail
? Ability to multi task, manage time effectively and prioritise workload within deadlines
? Demonstrated initiative and the ability to challenge and question others
? Coachable and open to new ideas
? Willingness to travel
