Michaelsoft DDS Sdn Bhd, incorporated in 2007 is a leading provider of hard-diskless network management system in Malaysia. Michaelsoft DDS Sdn Bhd provides consultation; management and maintenance services specialize for Cybercaf?, College, University, Computer Lab, Computer Training Centre and Office.
DDS is a Linux based solution that uses iSCSI technology to bring an entirely new range of solutions, flexibility and cost reductions to businesses. The feature of DDS is a server based network where software applications and programs are held on the server, and runs on the client PCs. Therefore, client PCs need not have a harddisk.

DDS servers are running in Linux OS
- NO SERVER LICENSING FEE REQUIRED !
1. If client PC is infected by Virus, the chance of infecting the servers is zero, because client PCs are running on Windows platform, while our DDS servers are running on Linux.
2. Besides that, no antivirus is required to install in DDS server.
3. Performance in Linux based server is the best & stable.
Why DDS servers are NOT running on Windows Server 2003/ 2008 OS?
1. If client PC is infected by Virus, the chance of infecting Windows Server 2003/ 2008 based servers is very high, because Windows in Client PCs and Windows Server 2003/ 2008 in servers are originated by same company (Mircosoft).
2. In order to protect Windows Server 2003/ 2009 based servers, antivirus software is required to be installed in servers. If antivirus is installed in servers, many games (especially China Games) can not be played, because antivirus will detect these games as trojan.
3. Our DDS Linux based servers do not need any Antivirus software. If client PCs are infected by virus, the DDS server will not be infected.
4. Besides that, server lisencing cost charged by Microsoft is very expensive. Roughly RM3000 per server. If 2 servers are purchased, need to pay RM6000 for server licensing cost (2 servers). DDS servers are linux based, so we do not need to pay for any server licensing.
Why DDS Servers are NOT running on Windows XP Pro OS?
1. If client PC is infected by Virus, the chance of infecting Windows XP Pro based servers is much higher than Window Server 2003/ 2008 based servers.
2. Windows XP Pro is not designed for any network application. Windows XP is highly NOT recommended to be installed in servers.
3. Performance of any Windos XP Pro based diskless servers is the worst.
