Computer Related Product Supplier Needed

First let me introduce myself, I'm from Indonesia, my family moved here December 2010. We stay here under MM2H (Malaysia my second home) visa. Actually I have a business in Jakarta which distributes computer parts and accessories. Now it has been passed to my sister in law to run day to day operation.

We like to live here (pj) compare to Jakarta even though I have no job or business here. To setup a business here, I think is not easy for me as a foreigner which lack of local knowledge and connections / relations. Unless take over or invest in an established profitable business which is very hard to find.

So I come to this idea,

Actually I can help my company in Jakarta by getting them new product to sell. To do so I need computer related product suppliers or importers that willing to cooperate with me. Even better who already carry his own brand. I can try to distribute the particular product in Jakarta through my company.

Frankly I'm looking for any opportunity to grow or expand my business.

Hello Ferdi,

It doesnt make sense when you tried to export computers from here(Malaysia) to jakarta...

dealing with tax, transportation fees, and other charges will cost you a bomb...

As far as I understand, the cost to get computers, parts, networking stuff is less in Jakarta...for example, the networking devices such as antenna, industrial level routers is quite cheap in Indonesia...

Yes shipping might be a problem, but tax so far many importers in jakarta didn't pay it. We just use freight forwarding services and we pay base on weight or volume not base on the value but we must declare what is the cargo to them. Because certain items can not use this way must use the legal way which pay tax. Most convenient shipping is from sin.

That's why I prefer local brand like Pen Drive (already got distributor in jakarta), so we can position the product more flexible compare to non-brand one which everyone can sell.
